Two Spot Red Snapper: Belongs to the lutjanus family. It is known as the bohar snapper. The adult fish reaches maturity at 100cm. Juveniles have two distinctive white spots on their dorsal fish. Adults are red to purplish red in color and are often found moving in large schools on the outer reefs or above sandy areas. They inhabit tropical and subtropical regions of all oceans, feeding on small fishes, crustaceans and planktons. The two spot red snapper is an important fish in the diet of the local population and is served in popular local restaurants and hotels.
